Zach Walsh, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, where he directs the Therapeutic Recreational and Problematic Substance Use lab.
He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has presented widely on topics related to cannabis, mental health, addictions, and public health, including invited presentations to the governments of Canada and Uruguay.
Professor Walsh is the lead investigator for several ongoing studies of the therapeutic use of cannabis including an industry -sponsored clinical trial of cannabis for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Professor Walsh’s research has been supported by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Health Canada, the Peter Wall Endowment, and others.
