Rielle Capler is a co-founder of ACCRES, and past Executive Director. She has been working in the cannabis field in Canada for 19 years as service provider, researcher, educator, consultant and policy advisor.
After receiving a Masters degree in Health Administration, Rielle worked with Canada’s first medical cannabis dispensary from 1999-2007. Rielle co-founded ACCRES (formerly CAMCD) in 2010, and worked with dispensaries, patients, government regulators and other stakeholders to develop ACCRES’s nation-wide standards and certification program for dispensaries.
Rielle received the Governor General’s Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award in 2013 for her work in this field. Rielle completed her PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of British Columbia in 2018.
