Dr. Ivan Casselman (Ph.D., FLS) is a Cannabis Science Advisor who specializes in executive-level cannabis companies from start-ups to established corporations. He is an accomplished and solutions-focused senior executive, advisor, consultant, and thought leader. As a principal advisor, he develops reliable business and scientific strategies that form the foundation of successful companies. Dr. Casselman has over 20 years of experience in the cannabis industries and is the third generation of his family to work in the BC cannabis industry.
Leveraging extensive experience leading product development, he is a valuable advisor for an organization formulating a product line, ensuring that a product is safe and effective, or planning manufacturing or growing facilities. His broad areas of expertise include education curriculum design, research, ability to distill complex information to constituents, insight on market positioning and segmentation, spotting emerging trends, and leading companies through the start-up and go public phases.
Dr. Caselman has been involved in the start-up, growth, and expansion of several plant medicine and retail companies in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Responsibilities included franchise expansion, sales operations, and implementation of scalable corporate strategy.
